Anonymity Check

Are your VPN, proxy and real IP visible.

What a site learns about you

The browser reveals more than you would think. Some data is needed for the page to work, some is for tracking.

IP address Provider and approximate city. The obvious one, and precisely what a VPN hides.
Browser fingerprint Version, language, resolution, fonts, graphics card. Together they identify you even without cookies.
A WebRTC leak The video-call technology can expose your real address even with a VPN on. A classic leak.
Time zone and language If the VPN says Germany while the system reports local time and language, the mismatch is obvious.

Why check this

Testing a VPN You turned protection on but do not know whether it works. The check shows whether your real address leaks.

What helps and what does not

VPN Hides the IP and encrypts traffic. It does not hide the fingerprint or help once you log into your own account.
Incognito mode It keeps history off your device. To websites you look exactly the same as without it.
An ad blocker Removes most trackers. It cuts data collection noticeably, though its presence is itself detectable.
Disabling WebRTC Closes the most common address leak when a VPN is on. Done in the browser settings.

FAQ

What is a WebRTC IP leak and why does it matter?
WebRTC is the browser technology behind video calls. To connect participants directly it asks the operating system for every network address of the device — and does so bypassing the VPN. As a result a site can see your real address even though all other traffic goes through the tunnel. This is the classic reason a VPN “does not work”. It is fixed with a browser extension or by disabling WebRTC in settings.
Why does a timezone mismatch reveal a VPN?
Your browser reports the system timezone to the site, while the IP address points to a country. If the IP is German but the device clock is set to Kyiv time, that is almost certainly a VPN: for an actual resident of Germany both values would match. This is exactly how sites spot users switching countries for pricing or content access. To avoid it, the system timezone has to match the exit country.
It says “hosting provider” — is that bad?
Not necessarily, but it is a visible signal. Home users reach the internet through consumer ISP addresses, not through data centres. If your address belongs to a hosting company, you are either using a VPN or proxy, or working through a corporate network. Many sites treat such addresses more strictly: they show captchas more often, restrict sign-ups or block payments.
Do you store the results of the check?
No. The check runs at the moment of the request, the result is shown to you and nothing is written down — neither the IP nor the browser data. Some of the tests never leave your device at all: WebRTC, timezone, language and screen parameters are determined locally in the browser.
