Catalog website development with filters

Catalog website development for companies that sell through a sales manager: the customer finds an item using filters and requests a price or a quote. From ₴16,900, launch in 1–2 weeks.

We work under a contract with a fixed price and a day-by-day plan, from the list of specifications to launch. We import your product range from Excel, and in the Business and B2B packages we set up sync with 1C or BAS so items don’t have to be transferred by hand. The website, the product database and all access rights belong to you, not to the studio.

Catalog website category page with specification filters and product cards

Who a catalog website is for

An online product catalog is for businesses whose sales happen in conversation: the customer picks items on the website, and a manager agrees on the price, terms and delivery.

Manufacturers

Your entire product line, with specifications, drawings and PDF certificates, is gathered on one website. A dealer or buyer finds the model on their own and sends a request. For factories and workshops, we describe a manufacturing website with a B2B catalog on a separate page.

Distributors and wholesalers

Hundreds of items from different brands, with prices and stock levels constantly changing. Sync with 1C or BAS updates them on the website on a schedule, and the PDF price list is generated automatically, so managers don’t have to send out spreadsheets by hand every time.

Made-to-order businesses

Furniture, equipment, building materials, services: the price depends on size, configuration or volume. The catalog shows models and options, and a manager calculates the exact amount after a request. Furniture manufacturers have a separate page: a website for a furniture company.

Businesses that sell through a manager

You take orders by phone, via messaging apps or after a meeting. The website replaces a paper catalog and sending photos in chats: the customer browses the range on their own, and a request with the item name arrives in Telegram or by email.

When to choose a different type of website

  • Do your customers need to pay by card right on the website and arrange delivery without calling a manager? Then you need an online store.
  • You have 5–10 products or services, and you won’t need filters or import. Your range is easier to describe on a few pages, and a business card website is the right fit for that.
  • Your main goal is to present the company, case studies and team, and the products only complement the story. In that case, choose a corporate website.
  • You need user accounts with non-standard logic: formula-based pricing, request approval by several departments, your own statuses. That is a case for custom development.
  • You advertise one product group and want to collect leads for a specific campaign. It’s faster and cheaper to launch a landing page.

What a turnkey catalog website includes

A product catalog with filters, product pages, search and a request form are included in every package. Business and B2B add 1C/BAS sync, comparison, a PDF price list and a dealer portal.

01

Catalog with categories

We build the tree of categories and subcategories around how your customers search: by type, purpose or brand. One item can belong to several categories, and its product page doesn’t need to be duplicated.

02

Filters by specifications

Size, material, power, brand, availability: filters are built from product specifications. Each category gets its own set, so a “power” filter won’t appear in the doors section. On a smartphone, filters open in a separate panel.

03

Product page with documents

Photos, a description, a specifications table and PDF documents: manuals, certificates, drawings. Next to them is the price or a request button if the amount depends on volume or configuration. The more complete the page, the fewer questions by phone.

04

Catalog search

Search by name and SKU helps those who already know what they need: a buyer with a list or a regular customer. The result leads straight to the product page, without clicking through categories.

05

Price and quote requests

The form opens from the product page with the item name already filled in, so the customer only has to add the quantity and contact details. In the B2B package, several items can be collected into a list and sent as one quote request.

06

About us, delivery, payment, contacts

Pages that answer questions before anyone calls: who you are, where and how you deliver, how to pay, and what the warranty and return terms are. We add a Google Maps location and working hours to the contacts page.

07

Admin panel with import and export

In the admin panel, you add items, change prices and see all requests from the website. The catalog is imported from Excel and exported back: bulk changes to prices or specifications are easy to make in a spreadsheet and upload as one file.

Catalog website development in 1–2 weeks, step by step

This is the schedule for the Start package. The timeline depends on how ready your price list is: if the specifications are already compiled in one spreadsheet, we stick to the plan; if not, we first help you gather them.

  1. Days 1–2

    Catalog structure and specifications

We draw up the category tree and the list of specifications for each category, as this is the data the filters are later built from. We agree on an Excel import template, and if you already have a price list, we use it as the basis.

  2. Days 3–4

    Catalog and product page design

We design the category page with filters, the product page and the request form for desktop and smartphone. We decide which specifications are visible in the list and which only on the product page. The mockup with your edits is approved before coding starts.

  3. Days 5–7

    Page coding, filters, admin panel

We code responsive pages and set up filters, search and the request form. We put together the admin panel where you will manage products and see requests together with the name of the item they were sent from.

  4. Days 8–9

    Product import and data check

We import items from your Excel file and check that all specifications are in place, the filters work correctly and the PDFs open. We show you any duplicates and empty fields before launch.

  5. Day 10

SEO, analytics, testing, launch and training

We write meta tags, connect GA4 and Search Console, test the forms and launch the website. We submit the sitemap, after which indexing usually begins, and train your team to work with the catalog.

Catalog, online store or B2B portal

The main difference is who completes the sale: a manager, the buyer themselves or a dealer in their own account. This determines the features, the price and the time to launch.

Integrations: 1C, BAS, Excel and CRM

We connect the systems you already use so the catalog doesn’t live separately from your accounting and sales.

Sync with 1C and BAS

Prices and stock levels are updated on the website on a schedule, with no manual copying, and new items too if needed. You keep your records as you’re used to, and customers see up-to-date data. Price and stock sync is included in the Business and B2B packages.

Import from Excel, CSV and supplier files

We import your range from Excel, CSV or a supplier’s file: items go into their categories and specifications into the filters. We check the supplier’s file in advance so the import can be repeated.

PDF price list and documents

In the Business and B2B packages, the PDF price list is generated automatically from catalog data and always matches the website. Manuals, certificates and product data sheets can be attached to product pages.

CRM: KeyCRM, Bitrix24, HubSpot, SalesDrive

Requests from the website go to your CRM with the item name and the customer’s contact details, so a manager doesn’t have to look for them in the inbox. CRM integration is included in the B2B package; for the others, we connect it separately.

Requests to Telegram and email

Every price or quote request instantly arrives in the sales team’s Telegram chat and by email: item name, quantity, contact details. You can reply from a smartphone without opening the admin panel.

GA4, Google Ads and Search Console

In GA4, we set up price request events so you can see which categories bring in customers. Search Console shows which queries people use to find the catalog on Google, and Google Ads shows how many requests the ads brought in.

Catalog examples from our projects

Our work

Intermik is a corporate website for industrial systems integrators with a large equipment catalog, and Kotarco is an online store for home textiles. They are not pure catalog websites, but they show how we build category structures, filters and product pages. More projects are in our portfolio.

What a catalog website costs after launch

DomainRegistered in your name, paid at the registrar’s rate; connection is included
HostingFrom ₴149/mo, billed annually: SSD, daily backups, 24/7 monitoring
SSL certificateFree with our hosting
AdministrationFrom ₴1,900/mo: the studio adds products and updates prices for you
Tech support and 1C/BAS syncFrom ₴2,900/mo: website updates and monitoring of data sync with accounting
SEOFrom ₴7,900/mo, optional: promoting categories and product pages in Google

The only mandatory costs after launch are the domain and hosting. Administration, support and catalog SEO can be added whenever you need them.

Contract, payment and warranty

We work remotely with clients from all over Ukraine. We prepare a free estimate in 15 minutes during business hours.

Contract and fixed price

We fix the price and timeline in the contract before work starts. If a feature outside the package is needed along the way, we agree on its cost first and only then get to work.

50/50 payment

Payment: 50% upfront and 50% after the project is handed over. Large projects are split into stages (design, development, launch), and each stage is paid separately.

Revisions at every stage

We make revisions at every stage within the agreed structure: after the list of categories and specifications, after the mockup and before launch. This way, changes are made on time, not after the pages have already been coded.

3-month warranty

A 3-month warranty after launch: we fix errors caused by us free of charge. This covers the filters, forms, import and 1C/BAS sync that we set up.

The website and catalog data are yours

We register the domain in your name and hand over access to the admin panel and hosting, as well as the code, so the website belongs to your company. The product database is yours too: you can export it to Excel at any time.

Training on the catalog

We show you how to add items, change prices, run imports and handle requests. We train the people who will work with the website every day. Admin panel training is included in the price of every package.

Mistakes when creating a catalog website

Most of these mistakes are visible as early as the structure stage, so we check for them in the first two days of work.

  1. Starting with the design rather than the list of specifications. Filters are built from data, so if the specifications are gathered after the mockup, the category page has to be redesigned.
  2. Writing the same specification in different ways: “black”, “Black”, “blk.” For a filter, these are three separate values, and the customer sees duplicates instead of one option.
  3. Putting “price on request” on all items without explanation. State what the price depends on and when a manager will reply, and visitors will be more willing to send a request.
  4. Not assigning anyone to handle requests. If a request is answered the next day, the customer may have contacted other suppliers in the meantime, so decide in advance who replies and when.
  5. Updating prices by hand across a large range. Sooner or later, some prices on the website will drift from the price list, which is why frequent changes call for Excel import or 1C/BAS sync.
  6. Opening all filter combinations to search engines. Google then gets lots of nearly identical pages, while only the filters people actually search for are worth indexing.

What to prepare before ordering a catalog website

You don’t need everything at once: you can start with a price list, and we’ll gather the rest as we work. Send what you already have via the contact form, and we’ll calculate the cost.

  1. A price list or Excel spreadsheet with names, SKUs, prices and specifications: even an incomplete spreadsheet already shows which filters will be needed.
  2. Item photos, preferably in one format and on the same background, so the category page looks consistent rather than like a collection from different websites.
  3. A category structure: how you divide your range yourself and how customers search for it, by type, purpose or brand.
  4. PDF documents for product pages: certificates, manuals, product data sheets, drawings or installation diagrams that managers now send to customers by hand.
  5. Access to 1C or BAS, or the contact details of the developer who maintains the database, if you plan automatic price and stock sync.
  6. The name of the person who will answer requests and the channel to send them to (Telegram, email or CRM), so we can set up notifications before launch.

Key terms in brief

Filter by specifications
Toggles on the category page: size, material, brand, availability. A filter only works correctly when the specifications are filled in the same way for all items.
1C/BAS sync
Automatic transfer of prices, stock levels and new items from your accounting software to the website on a schedule, without manual updates.
Quote request
A request for a commercial proposal: the customer lists the items and quantities, and a manager replies with the price, terms and delivery time.
PDF price list
A file with prices that the website generates automatically from catalog data. Customers download it themselves, and its prices match the website.
SEO filter page
A page with a selected filter, such as “oak tables”, with its own heading and text. Google can show it for a narrow search query.

Questions about catalog websites

A catalog website is a catalog without a cart or online payment. The customer finds an item using filters and sends a request, and a manager completes the sale with a call, an invoice or a commercial proposal. An online store sells on its own: cart, payment, delivery. That’s why a catalog is cheaper and faster to launch: from ₴16,900 and 1–2 weeks, while a store starts at ₴29,900 and takes from 3 weeks. If the price depends on volume or configuration, you most likely won’t need a cart.

Start costs from ₴16,900: up to 200 items, filters, price requests, Excel import. Business, with 1C/BAS sync and up to 2,000 items, costs from ₴27,900, and B2B with a dealer portal costs from ₴49,900. The domain, hosting and extra features are paid separately. The calculator on our website has the promo code BB10 (−10%), and Google Ads setup comes free. We’ll name the exact amount for your range after a free estimate.

We launch Start in 1–2 weeks, Business in 2–3 weeks and B2B in 4–6 weeks. The timeline depends most on the state of your data: whether there is a single price list with specifications, photos and documents. If information has to be collected from several files and different people, we allow time for that during the estimate and fix the final timeline in the contract.

Yes, and you don’t need a new website for that. We add a cart, checkout, payment via LiqPay, monobank or WayForPay, delivery by Nova Poshta or Ukrposhta and, if needed, Checkbox (software cash register) for fiscal receipts. In effect, the catalog becomes an online store, while the products, photos and pages stay in place. We price the upgrade separately.

Yes. Excel import comes with every package: we give you a template, you fill it in, and items go into their categories with all their specifications. Sync with 1C or BAS is included in the Business and B2B packages: prices and stock levels are updated on a schedule. New items can be transferred too; then all that’s left is to add photos and a description on the website. Setup requires access to your accounting database.

The Start package covers up to 200 items, and Business and B2B up to 2,000. If your range is larger, we choose a platform and update method for your volume and price it separately. The number of items affects not only the price but also the structure: a large catalog needs well-thought-out filters, search and a clear category tree, otherwise customers won’t find the item they need.

Yes. In the admin panel, you add an item, photos, specifications and a price through a regular form, and make large updates via Excel. All requests from the website are stored there too, so a request won’t get lost even if the email doesn’t arrive. After launch, we show you how to use it all. If you don’t want to handle content yourself, administration by the studio costs from ₴1,900/mo.

Yes. For each item, you choose in the admin panel what visitors see: the price or a “price on request” label with a request button. The options can be combined: show prices for standard products and a request button for made-to-order items. In the B2B package, only dealers see wholesale prices after logging in to their account, while other visitors see retail prices or a request button.

Yes. A second language is included in the Business and B2B packages: translated categories, product pages, filters and forms, plus separate page URLs for search. This is useful if you work with foreign dealers or supply products abroad. For Start, we add a language separately, as we do a third language in the other packages. Translated names and specifications are easy to send in the same Excel spreadsheet as the main price list.

Yes, that’s what the B2B package from ₴49,900 is for: a dealer portal, wholesale prices and roles, quote requests with a list of items, request history and CRM integration. Retail visitors see a regular catalog, while dealers see their own prices after logging in. The timeline is 4–6 weeks. If the logic is more complex, such as formula-based discounts or multi-level approval, we price it as a custom project.
