Website for a beauty salon, Beauty salon and barbershop website development — BB STUDIO barbershop or cosmetologist

In beauty the client goes not to a salon but to a specialist — and wants to book them at half past eleven at night, when they finally remembered tomorrow's important meeting. Instagram shows the work but does not let them book. The website has to close exactly this gap: see the specialist → see the price and free time → book in three clicks, without calling reception.

We build salon, barbershop and cosmetology websites as booking points: specialists' schedules with real service durations, a price list table, a portfolio of work per specialist, gift certificates online. We connect Altegio, YCLIENTS or build our own booking — so the client sees free slots, not a “leave your number” form.

Beauty salon and barbershop website development — BB STUDIO

Who we build beauty websites for

A four-chair barbershop and a cosmetology clinic sell different things, and their websites differ. Four typical clients:

Salon with 5–15 specialists

The main task is to spread bookings between specialists and show each one with their work and rating. The client should pick “theirs” — and keep coming back to that person. The site works like a receptionist who never sleeps.

Barbershop

The client is a man who wants to book in 20 seconds from his phone, see the price and not read. Minimum text, maximum speed: specialist → time → done. Plus memberships and a one-click “same as last time” booking.

Cosmetologist or aesthetic clinic

Here trust sells, as in medicine: certificates, equipment, product ingredients, before/after, contraindications. People do not book on the first visit to the site — so expert texts and a consultation matter.

Nail, brow, lash studio — and its courses

A narrow service, heavy competition, a local client. The site is short but has online booking, a gallery of work and a separate training section — courses often earn more than the service itself.

Why a template does not work for a salon website

  • A site builder's booking widget does not understand that a manicure is 90 minutes, a men's haircut is 45, and that a colouring will not fit in the gap between them. In the end reception calls back to reschedule — and online booking turns into a delayed phone call.
  • In a template, specialists are names with photos. But the client chooses by work: they want to see twenty haircuts by this particular barber, not the salon's general gallery. Without a per-specialist portfolio there is no choice.
  • The price list in a template is an image or a PDF. A client searches “how much is complex colouring for long hair” — and finds nothing, because a PDF has no search and will not open on a phone.
  • You live on Instagram — but nobody books from it, and a template site is not connected to it. Work has to be duplicated by hand, and the site gallery goes stale within a month.
  • Gift certificates, memberships, a loyalty programme — what earns a salon money beyond the chair. A template has none of it, and “DM us to buy a certificate” is a lost gift on the 8th of March.

What a beauty salon website structure includes

Seven modules we build into a salon, barbershop or cosmetology website — each for a specific client action:

01

Booking by specialist and duration

Service → specialist → free time that actually fits the service. Confirmation by SMS or Viber, reminders a day and two hours before. The client books at 2 a.m. — and you see it in the schedule in the morning.

02

Specialist profiles with portfolio

Photo, specialisation, experience, certificates, a rating from reviews and 20–50 works by this specific specialist. A “Book with this specialist” button showing their free slots. The client picks a person — and comes back to them.

03

Price list table with durations

By area — hair, nails, brows, barber, cosmetology — with price, duration and specialist level. Searchable. Change a price in the admin panel — it updates in booking and on service pages too.

04

Gallery of work from Instagram

Work is pulled from your Instagram automatically and sorted by specialist and category. You maintain one feed — the site is always up to date.

05

Gift certificates and memberships online

Buying a gift certificate in two minutes with delivery to the recipient's e-mail or Viber. Memberships for 5–10 visits at a discount. This is money the salon currently loses in DMs.

06

“First visit” page and offers

How to find you, where to park, what happens at the consultation, how to prepare for the procedure, a first-visit discount. Plus offers with an end date — no stale banners from last year.

07

Training section

Courses and workshops with a programme, dates, price and booking with a deposit. For nail, brow and barber studios, training often earns more than services — and needs its own page to sell.

Integrations for a salon website

The salon already lives in its booking software and on Instagram. The site has to connect to them, not force you to run everything twice:

Altegio, YCLIENTS, Booksy or in-house booking

If you already use software — we embed its booking so it looks like part of the site, not a third-party widget. If not — we build our own with specialists' schedules in your admin panel.

SMS and Viber reminders

Instant booking confirmation, reminders the day before and two hours ahead, a “your specialist is free earlier” message. Removes most no-shows — the salon's main loss.

Instagram feed

The latest work automatically appears on the site and in specialist profiles by hashtag or tag. One post — two channels.

Online payment for certificates and deposits

LiqPay or Monobank: the certificate is paid for and delivered to the recipient without reception's involvement. Deposits for expensive procedures and courses — so you do not hold a slot “on a promise”.

Google Maps reviews

Real reviews are pulled onto the home page and specialist profiles. After the visit the client gets a “leave a review” link — and the Maps rating grows by itself.

Loyalty programme

Bonuses for visits and referrals that the client sees in their account on the site. Cheaper than plastic cards, and works from a phone.

Site builder, template or a custom salon website — which to choose

We compare on what affects bookings, not on how many blocks the library has:

Where a salon's clients come from online

A salon lives on local queries and on maps — the site has to reinforce both channels:

Local SEO

“Manicure Lukianivka”, “barbershop near Olimpiiska metro”, “cosmetologist Pechersk” — queries with a district. Service pages with the address and district in the copy collect them for years.

Google Maps

For a salon the Maps listing with photos of work and reviews is half of new clients. The site must reinforce it: the same name and address, a booking link, reviews flowing both ways.

Instagram and TikTok as a source

Social media shows the work, the site takes the booking. The link in the profile header leads not to the home page but straight to booking with the specialist whose work was just seen.

Repeat visits and retargeting

A client who had a manicure three weeks ago gets a reminder to book again. Whoever looked at gift certificates before the holidays and did not buy sees a reminder in their feed.

How much a beauty salon website costs

The price depends on the number of specialists and services, whether you need in-house booking or software integration, and whether you sell certificates and training. Three typical configurations:

Landing page for a specialist or barbershop

from 7 days
from ₴9,900

One page: services with prices, specialists, work, embedded booking from your software, a map and hours. The most popular format for barbershops and independent specialists.

Salon website

2–3 weeks
from ₴19,900

Area pages with a price list, specialist profiles with portfolios, booking by specialist and duration, an Instagram gallery, offers, gift certificates online, Google reviews, SEO for your district.

Salon chain or clinic with training

from 4 weeks
from custom quote

Everything above plus branch pages, in-house booking or deep Altegio / YCLIENTS integration, a client account with loyalty, a course section with deposits.

Our approach to salon websites

Our experience

In our portfolio we show projects our clients allowed us to publish, so we do not pass off other people's salons as ours. What makes a salon website work — fast mobile booking, profile pages with galleries, a price list living in one database, integrations with third-party services — we have proven on e-commerce and corporate projects: custom code, 90+ PageSpeed on mobile, an admin panel a receptionist can handle without a developer. See our delivered work, and we will discuss the specifics of your salon at the briefing.

Speed Responsive SEO base Integrations

Mistakes we see on other salon websites

Before starting we go through the salons in your area. Here is what repeats almost everywhere:

  1. “Ask reception for prices”. The client compares three salons from her phone — and books where the price is written.
  2. Booking by phone only. The client decides to book in the evening after work — calls where nobody picks up anymore, and forgets by morning.
  3. Specialists without photos of their work — just “a team of professionals”. Nobody to choose from, and the client goes where they can see actual haircuts.
  4. A three-page brochure site when the client needs a price list and a booking button. Pretty, but people book elsewhere.
  5. Opening hours and address are not on the first screen. The client has to hunt for them in the footer — and half never find them.
  6. A “-20% until 8 March” offer still up in May. The client understands nobody maintains the site — and projects that onto the salon.

What to prepare before starting a salon website

The more of this you have at the briefing, the shorter the timeline. The first two items decide how booking will work:

  1. The software you currently use for booking (Altegio, YCLIENTS, a notebook) — and access to it, so we can assess the integration.
  2. The price list in a table: service, price, duration, specialist level. Not a PDF and not a screenshot.
  3. Photos of the specialists in the salon, specialisation, experience, certificates — and 10–20 works each, or links to their Instagram.
  4. Photos of the salon interior in daylight — not stock. The client wants to see where they are going.
  5. Terms for certificates and memberships, if you sell them: denominations, validity, how they are activated.
  6. Answers to the 10 questions reception gets asked most often — we will turn them into the “First visit” page and FAQ.

Glossary: terms you will hear from us during the project

Slot
A free interval in a specialist's schedule. Online booking shows the client only the slots the chosen service and its duration actually fit into.
No-show
The client booked and did not turn up. The salon's main hidden loss — and exactly what automated reminders and deposits for expensive procedures reduce.
Booking widget
An embedded block from Altegio or YCLIENTS that shows the schedule and takes bookings. We style it to look like part of the site, not a foreign tab.
Local query
A search tied to a district or metro station: “manicure Obolon”. The warmest queries for a salon — and exactly what the service pages are built for.
Instagram feed
Automatic pulling of your posts onto the site. You maintain one feed, and the gallery of work on the site updates itself and never goes stale.

YCLIENTS is booking, not a source of clients. Its page is not found on Google for “manicure Obolon”, it has none of your work, specialist portfolios or gift certificates. The site brings the client in and shows why you — and YCLIENTS, embedded in the site, takes the booking.

Yes: the client picks a value or a service, pays via LiqPay or Monobank, enters the recipient's name — and a certificate with a unique code goes to e-mail or Viber. Reception sees the code on redemption. Before holidays it becomes a separate revenue channel.

2–3 weeks, if the price list, specialist photos and work samples are ready at the start. Collecting work per specialist usually takes longest — so we pull it from Instagram automatically, which removes half the effort.

Yes, for Altegio, YCLIENTS and Booksy — a booking from the site goes straight into the specialist's schedule, and vice versa: time taken in the software is unavailable on the site. If you have no software, we build in-house booking in the site's admin panel.

Nobody separately — it is pulled from your Instagram by hashtag or specialist tag. Post the work as usual — it appears on the site in the right category. Manually you only remove what you do not want.

Yes: a page for each course with the programme, dates, price, instructor and booking with an online deposit. For nail and barber studios training often earns more than services, and we make it a separate landing page for “nail courses + city” queries.

Yes, without technical skills: the price list is a table, specialists are cards, offers have an end date after which the banner disappears by itself. Training is included, and if you would rather not handle it yourself, we take over administration.
