Website for a Construction company website development — BB STUDIO construction company

A construction company website does not sell a house or a renovation. It sells confidence — that you will not vanish halfway through the project, that the estimate will not double, and that behind the facade there is a real team with real licences. We built Magstav and we know which blocks create that confidence and which only take up space.

We build from scratch in PHP and MySQL on our own MVC architecture: the project portfolio, the estimator and the client area are our code — not a pile of plugins that break with every update. The site handles thousands of project photos and stays fast on a foreman's phone.

Who we build construction websites for

"Construction company" covers four different businesses with different clients, budgets and sales cycles. Each needs a website that answers its own key question.

Private house builder

The client chooses for a year and compares you with ten others. They need ready-made designs with prices per m², real built houses with addresses, and transparent payment stages. The key question is "how much and in how many months".

Commercial general contractor

The client is a developer or a business, and the decision is made by a committee. The site must show capacity, licences, permits, completed projects with areas and deadlines, and provide a tender document form. The question is "can you handle it".

Turnkey apartment and house renovation

Short cycle, many leads, high distrust after other people's failed renovations. You need an estimated-cost calculator, a before/after portfolio with the actual estimate, and a clear "how we work" page. The question is "will I get burned".

Modular and timber-frame house manufacturer

The product is standardised, so a model catalogue with configurations, a configurator and a fixed price all work. The client wants to see the model inside, understand production time and delivery and installation terms. The question is "what exactly do I get".

Why a template website does not bring construction clients

  • A portfolio that is just an image gallery. The client needs the story of the project: what was there, what the stages were, how long it took, what it cost. Twenty unlabelled photos convince nobody.
  • A calculator that spits out a single "from" figure. Someone enters the area, gets "from ₴8,000/m²" — and has no idea what the rest depends on. Or gets nothing at all until they hand over a phone number.
  • No licences, permits or documents in plain sight. In construction this is not a formality but the first filter: without a licence you cannot work on a CC2-class site, and the client knows it.
  • Stock photos of builders in hard hats instead of your own sites and team. The client spots it in a second, and the conclusion is always the same — "they have nothing to show".
  • The site cannot handle the weight of photos. One project means hundreds of progress shots, and a template either crushes them to mush or takes ten seconds to load on a foreman's phone on site.

Structure of a construction company website

Seven blocks we build into every construction website. Each one answers a specific client objection — from "show me what you have built" to "how will I keep track of the money".

01

Project portfolio with filters

Filter by type (house, commercial, renovation), area, technology and budget. Every project is its own page with stages, progress photos, plans, timeline and cost. This is the main page of the site, not an appendix to it.

02

Pages per type of work

Foundations, shell, roofing, facade, MEP, finishing — or timber-frame, aerated concrete, brick. Each page targets its own search query, carries its own prices and pulls its own projects from the portfolio.

03

Preliminary cost calculator

Area, storeys, technology, finish level — and a "from–to" range instantly, no phone number required. Then an offer to get a detailed estimate by email. That way the calculator generates leads instead of scaring people off.

04

"How we work": contract and payment stages

A step-by-step path from the site visit to handover, the contract structure, what the client pays for and when, how the estimate is fixed and what happens with changes. This page removes the biggest fear — "they will bail halfway".

05

Company, team, documents

Licences and permits as scans, certificates, insurance, key people with photos and experience, equipment and capacity. For tenders — a separate section with company details and a downloadable document pack.

06

Client area with progress tracking

The client logs in and sees their project: current stage, this week's photos, signed acts, what has been paid and the next payment. Fewer "what is going on at my site" calls, more trust and referrals to neighbours.

07

Blog and answers to a homeowner's questions

"Aerated concrete or clay block", "what a foundation costs in 2026", "how to sign off a roof" — articles that capture queries while people are still planning and bring them to you six months before the deal.

What we connect to a construction website

A construction website has to work with what you already use: your estimating software, CRM, the foremen's messengers and Google Maps. Otherwise it becomes one more place where someone has to enter things by hand.

Calculator → CRM

Every calculation with contact details lands in KeyCRM, Bitrix24 or your spreadsheet with all parameters: area, technology, budget. The manager calls already prepared.

Progress updates from the foreman's messenger

The foreman drops photos into a Telegram bot with the project number — they appear in the client area and in the portfolio on the site. No dedicated person needed to "run the website".

Project map

Completed projects on a Google map with a filter by type. A client from Bucha sees you have built in Bucha — and that convinces more than any copy.

Google reviews

Real reviews from your Google Business profile are pulled in automatically, with names and dates. They cannot be faked on the site — and clients know it.

Project PDF presentation

A "download PDF" button on a project or design page: photos, plan, cost, contacts. The client takes it to their spouse, partner or bank — and comes back.

Estimate files and tenders

The tender form accepts documentation of any size, estimates export to Excel, and the section for dealers or subcontractors is password-protected.

Site builder, WordPress theme or custom build — what a construction company should choose

For a five-page brochure site, a site builder wins fair and square. Trouble starts where the money in construction actually lives: the portfolio, the calculator and the client area.

Where a construction company gets clients online

Construction has a long cycle: people search, read, compare and come back. So the site has to be in search for "house construction Kyiv region", on the map, and in retargeting — all at once.

Local SEO by type of work

"Turnkey house construction Kyiv", "apartment renovation Lviv price", "timber-frame house Odesa" — pages per type of work and region with their own prices and projects. This is the main channel over the long run.

Google Business Profile

A Maps profile with project photos, reviews and links to the site. For local construction it is the second strongest source after search — and it is free.

Google Ads on warm queries

Ads on "order house construction", "house cost estimate" — expensive clicks, so we send them not to the homepage but to a type-of-work page with a calculator that converts.

YouTube and build progress

Videos from projects, stage by stage, embedded on portfolio pages. People watch you pour a foundation — and stop worrying the work will be done by eye.

How much a construction company website costs

The price depends on the number of work types, the size of the portfolio, and whether you need a calculator with your own formulas and a client area. Three typical configurations:

Landing page for one type of work

from 7 days
from ₴9,900

One long page for a specific service — turnkey renovation, timber-frame houses, roofing: projects, prices, stages, a form. For ads and a start while the portfolio is still small.

Corporate site with portfolio

2–4 weeks
from ₴19,900

Pages per work type, a project portfolio with stages and filters, "how we work", documents, a basic calculator, Google reviews, an admin panel. The most common choice for a construction company.

Custom build with client area

timeline per spec
from ₴59,900

A calculator with your formulas linked to CRM, a client area with progress and payments, a bot for foremen, a model configurator for manufacturers, a tender section, multiple languages.

Our experience

Magstav is a corporate website for a construction company: a structure built around work types, a portfolio of completed projects, a company and documents block, and a request form that leads the client to a conversation rather than a twenty-field questionnaire. Mistakes we see on construction company websites

Before every redesign we take apart the client's current website. In construction the same set repeats over and over — and every item costs real contracts.

  1. "Price on request" on every page. The client understands a house does not have a fixed price — but without a "from–to" range they simply go to whoever gave one.
  2. A portfolio with no dates, addresses or areas. "A house in Kyiv region" says nothing. "House, 180 m², Irpin, 2025, 7 months" is an argument.
  3. Stock photos instead of your own. Stock-photo hard hats are recognised instantly and read as "we have nothing to show".
  4. A phone number only in the footer. The client is browsing on a phone while standing on the plot — the call button must be on every screen, not three scrolls down.
  5. Not a word about the contract and payment. The biggest fear in construction is money, and silence about it reads as "they are hiding something".
  6. The most recent project in the portfolio is three years old. The client concludes the company either is not working or does not update its site. Both are equally bad for them.

What to prepare before the build starts

In construction projects, gathering the project materials takes the longest. Start with this list — and the site ships twice as fast.

  1. Photos of 8–15 projects: before, stages, after. For each — area, city, year, duration, technology and, if possible, the cost or a range.
  2. Scans of your licence, permits, certificates and insurance. Company details and a tender document pack if you work with tenders.
  3. A list of work types with price ranges per m² or per unit. What the price depends on — this goes into the calculator and the page copy.
  4. How you work with a client: stages, what is signed at each one, when the client pays, how the estimate is fixed, guarantees.
  5. Photos of the team and equipment, short bios of key people. Access to your Google Business profile if you have one.
  6. A vector logo, brand colours and two or three competitor sites you like or hate — both are useful.

Construction website glossary: what we mean by

Project page
A separate page for one completed project: parameters, stages with photos, plan, timeline, cost. Not "a photo in the gallery" but a full page with its own URL in search.
Cost estimator
A form with several parameters that instantly shows a "from–to" range based on your coefficients. It does not replace an estimate; it filters leads and gives the client a benchmark.
Client area
A private page for the client with progress on their project: stage, photos, acts, payments. What clients thank you for most — and what sets you apart from a crew the most.
Local landing page
A page for a specific city or region with its own copy, projects from that area and prices. It captures queries like "house construction Brovary".
Tender section
A public or private part of the site with company details, permits, certificates and a form for submitting documentation. Needed by those who work with commercial and public-sector clients.

That is exactly why you need one. The client is looking for a benchmark anyway — and will find it at a competitor. The calculator shows a fair range based on your coefficients: technology, storeys, finish level. People who go through the calculator call already prepared and drop off less often at the price.

We show them without the exact address or names: city or district, area, year, stages, photos without house numbers. Consent to publish goes into the contract as a separate clause — most people do not object if asked in advance. A few projects can be shown only in a private section for serious clients.

Yes — that is the client area. The foreman drops photos into a Telegram bot with the project number, the manager marks the stage and payments — the client sees it all in their area. It cuts the number of calls and gives you a strong sales argument: "you will see every day of your house being built".

The site itself takes 2–4 weeks. Entering 30 projects depends on how ready the materials are: if photos and descriptions exist, we enter them in 3–5 days; if they have to be dug out of foremen's archives, that can take longer than the development. So start gathering materials in parallel with the brief.

Usually not — they are separate sections of one site with their own pages, portfolio and calculators. A separate site makes sense when renovation runs as its own brand with its own advertising and team. Otherwise one strong domain ranks better than two weak ones.

We do, based on your brief and a short interview with the foreman or the owner. You give us the facts — area, technology, timeline, challenges — and we turn them into copy that reads well and captures search queries. You approve everything before publication.

For the key 5–8 cities where you have actually built — yes, with projects from exactly there. For every town in a row — no: identical pages with a swapped city name are treated by Google as spam and drag the whole site down. Better fewer pages, each with real projects and reviews from that city.
