Website for an attorney Law firm and attorney website development — BB STUDIO or a law firm

A lawyer's client almost never googles “attorney”. They google their problem: “how to divide property in a divorce”, “what to do if detained”, “how to appeal a fine”. And they come to whoever has already explained that problem — clearly, without legalese, with a reference to the relevant article. A law firm website is first of all a library of such explanations, and only then a list of practice areas and a photo in a robe.

We build law firm websites around trust and confidentiality: certificates and bar registry numbers in plain sight, won cases without exposing clients, a consultation form whose data never goes to third-party services. Custom code with no plugins that store your correspondence who knows where.

Law firm and attorney website development — BB STUDIO

Who we build legal websites for

A solo attorney and a twenty-lawyer firm sell different things: the first sells themselves, the second sells a system. Four typical clients:

Attorney with a narrow practice

Criminal, family or road accident cases — one practice, one name. The site sells personal experience: cases, publications, talks, reviews. The client should feel they found “their” lawyer, not a firm.

Law firm with 5–20 lawyers

Several practices, several partners, corporate clients. Structure matters here: practice pages, a team with roles, cases by industry, separate entry points for businesses and for private individuals.

Notary

The client is not looking for “the best” but for the nearest one who will explain what to bring. A notary's site is a list of actions with required documents and prices, a map, hours and booking for a specific time.

Immigration, corporate, tax services

Often two languages and foreign clients. The site has to explain procedures step by step — residence permits, LLC registration, liquidation — with timelines and prices, because the client compares you with three other firms in the same browser tab.

Why a template does not work for a legal website

  • Trust in a lawyer is built not on design but on verifiable facts: certificate number, bar registry, publications, cases. A template gives you an “About us” block of three sentences — and no place for anything that can be checked.
  • In a template, practice areas are a list of icons. But the client needs a dedicated “Divorce” page answering their ten questions, with an approximate cost and the lawyer who handles it. Without that the page neither ranks nor persuades.
  • A “leave your number” form scares off a person with a sensitive problem. They want to know where their data goes and who will see it. Template forms send everything through a third-party service — and say nothing about confidentiality.
  • A legal website lives on its blog: law breakdowns, how-tos, answers to questions. A template gives a “blog” as a news feed, with no structure by practice and no link to service pages — so articles collect traffic that leads nowhere.
  • Won cases are the main proof. But they must be shown anonymised: the essence, the result, a link to the ruling in the court registry — without client names. A template has no format for this, so firms either show nothing or show too much.

What a legal website structure includes

Seven modules we build into an attorney's or firm's website — each answers a specific client question:

01

Practice area pages

Criminal law, family disputes, commercial cases, road accidents, inheritance, immigration — each practice with its own questions, consultation fee, typical timelines and lawyers. These are the site's main landing pages.

02

Lawyer profiles

Bar certificate, registry number, specialisation, education, publications, talks, languages. The client can verify the lawyer in the registry in two clicks — and that works in your favour.

03

Won cases

Anonymised descriptions: the situation, what we did, the result, a link to the ruling in the court registry. Filterable by practice. Proof that cannot be faked with template copy.

04

Blog with legal breakdowns

Articles by practice: “How to inherit without a will”, “What to do after a road accident: the first 24 hours”. Each links to the practice page and the lawyer. This is the main SEO engine of a legal website.

05

Consultation booking

Choice of practice, lawyer, format — office, Zoom or phone — and time. Online payment for the consultation if you charge for it. Form data is encrypted and never passed to third-party services.

06

“How the first consultation works” page

What to bring, how long it takes, how much it costs, what you get at the end and what happens next. Removes the fear of “they will push a contract on me right away” — and lifts booking conversion.

07

Calculators and reference tools

Court fees, alimony, limitation periods — simple calculators that collect traffic and demonstrate expertise. Plus downloadable document templates in exchange for a contact.

Integrations for a legal website

A lawyer needs fewer integrations than a shop, but each has to be about confidentiality and control over enquiries:

Secure enquiry form

Data is encrypted, stored on your own server rather than in a third-party form builder, and deleted on schedule. Beneath the form — a clear note on who will see the enquiry.

Booking with format choice

The lawyer's calendar, choice of office or Zoom, an automatic video-call link in the confirmation. A reminder the day before so the consultation does not fall through.

Online consultation payment

LiqPay or Monobank: a paid consultation does not get cancelled at the last minute. For foreign clients — card payment in their currency.

Registries and open data

Links to rulings in the court registry by case number, lawyer verification in the bar registry straight from the profile. Every fact on the site can be checked in one click.

Telephony and call tracking

Binotel or Ringostat: you see which article or practice page the call came from, and never lose missed ones. For a lawyer the phone call is the main conversion, and it has to be measured.

CRM for enquiries

Every enquiry becomes a card with practice, source and status. A partner sees how many leads each article brought — and knows what to write next.

Site builder, template or a custom firm website — which to choose

Where a lawyer's clients come from online

Legal is one of the most expensive niches in paid ads, so the site has to convert every click. Four channels we build it for:

Informational SEO

People search for an answer first, not for a lawyer. An article “How to divide property in a divorce” brings someone who becomes a client a week later. It is the cheapest and most stable channel for a lawyer.

Local queries

“Attorney Obolon”, “notary near me”, “family lawyer Lviv”. A practice page plus a Google Business Profile with reviews cover this channel.

Google Ads by practice

Clicks are expensive, so ads lead not to the home page but to a specific practice page with FAQ, price and form. Calls and enquiries are passed as conversions — the campaign learns from them.

Reputation and referrals

Most of a lawyer's clients come by referral — and google the name before calling. The site has to be what they find: cases, publications, reviews, credentials.

How much a lawyer or law firm website costs

The price depends on the number of practices and lawyers, and whether you need a second language, online payment and calculators. Three typical configurations:

Attorney's profile website

from 7 days
from ₴9,900

One or two pages: about the attorney with credentials, practices, a few cases, reviews, consultation booking. For a private practice or a fresh start.

Law firm website

2–4 weeks
from ₴19,900

Practice pages, team, won cases, a categorised blog, a secure form and booking with format choice, an SEO structure. The most common choice for firms with 5–20 lawyers.

Firm with international clients

from 4 weeks

Everything above plus a second and third language, online payment in foreign currency, calculators, a CRM for enquiries and telephony with call-source tracking.

Our approach to legal websites

Our experience

In our portfolio we show only projects our clients allowed us to publish — in the legal niche that happens rarely, and we respect it. The mechanics we build into a lawyer's website — practice pages with their own structure, specialist profiles with credentials, secure forms, multilingual content in one admin panel — are proven on the studio's corporate projects: custom code without plugins, speed, an admin panel that needs no technical skills. See our delivered work, and we will discuss the specifics of your practice at the briefing — confidentially.

Mistakes we see on other legal websites

Before starting we review the competitors in your city and practice. Here is what repeats almost everywhere:

  1. “We will protect your rights” across the whole screen — and not a word about which cases you actually handle or how the previous ones ended.
  2. A lawyer without a certificate number or a registry link. The client cannot verify — and does not believe.
  3. Not a single article — just a list of services. The site exists, but it is invisible in search because there is nothing to rank it for.
  4. A form with no word about confidentiality. A person with a sensitive problem closes the tab and goes to whoever explained where their data would go.
  5. Prices completely hidden — even for a consultation. The client assumes it will be expensive and does not call, although your price would have suited them.
  6. Legalese instead of plain language: “provision of legal assistance in matters arising from family legal relations”. The client searched for “divorce” and found nothing.

What to prepare before starting a legal website

The more of this you have at the briefing, the faster the launch. The first three items are mandatory:

  1. Certificates, registry numbers, diplomas and specialisation for each lawyer — in a spreadsheet, with office photos.
  2. The list of practices and, for each, 5–10 questions clients ask most often. Pages and the first articles will grow out of them.
  3. The consultation fee and price guidelines for typical cases — at least “from”. This can be shown in a way that does not tie your hands.
  4. 10–15 won cases in anonymised form: the essence, the result, the ruling number in the registry.
  5. Publications, talks, media comments — anything that confirms expertise and can be checked via a link.
  6. A decision on the consultation format — office, online, paid or free first meeting — and who on the team answers enquiries from the site.

Glossary: terms you will hear from us during the project

Practice page
A dedicated landing page for one area — divorce, road accidents, inheritance — with questions, price, timelines and lawyers. The basic unit of a legal website's structure.
Anonymised case
A description of a won case without names or details that could identify the client, but with a link to the ruling in the registry. Proof that does not breach client privilege.
Informational query
A search for an answer, not a service: “how to appeal a fine”. An article for such a query brings someone who does not yet know they need a lawyer — and this is where you meet them first.
Call tracking
Number substitution on the site depending on the source, so you know which article or ad the call came from. For a lawyer the phone call is the main conversion, so it has to be measured.
hreflang
Technical markup that tells Google the Ukrainian and English versions of a page are the same page in different languages. Without it a foreign client sees the wrong version in search.
Frequently asked questions about legal websites

Yes, in anonymised form: the essence of the dispute, what was done, the result and a link to the ruling in the court registry. No names, addresses or details that could identify the client. We give you the format — you fill it in.

Through numbers and categories: “over 200 family cases”, “₴40M recovered for clients”, “12 cases won against banks”. Plus verifiable publications and talks. It persuades no less than names would.

Yes — it is the main source of clients from search. But you do not have to write it yourself: the lawyer answers a question by voice message, an editor turns it into an article, the lawyer reviews it. Two articles a month bring noticeable traffic within six months.

Practice pages are built from one template, so their number affects the price less than you would think. The main effort is content: 15 pages with FAQ and prices have to be written. Either you write to our structure, or we write from your materials — quoted after the briefing.

Yes: LiqPay, Monobank or Fondy. The client picks a time, pays — and the consultation is confirmed. For foreign clients — card payment in their currency. Paid consultations almost never get cancelled.

To your server, encrypted, and to the e-mail or CRM you specify. We do not use third-party form builders that keep the data on their side. Beneath the form we state who will see the enquiry and how long it is kept.

An attorney's profile site — from 7 days. A firm website with practices and a blog — 2–4 weeks. With a second language, payments and CRM — from 4 weeks. The longest part is usually preparing the practice texts on your side.
