Website for a manufacturer Manufacturing website with a B2B catalog — BB STUDIO with a B2B catalog

A B2B buyer is not looking for a shopping cart. They are looking for specifications in a table, a certificate in PDF, stock availability and a “request a quote” button for twenty items at once. They choose a supplier not by design but by whether they found the answer to a technical question within three minutes. A manufacturer's website is a catalog that answers such questions faster than a manager does.

We build manufacturer and distributor websites as a working tool for the sales team: a catalog of thousands of items with parameter filters, sync with 1C or ERP so prices and stock never go stale, a dealer account with personal pricing, a quote form, an English version for export with correct terminology. Custom code that carries large catalogs without plugins.

Manufacturing website with a B2B catalog — BB STUDIO

Who we build B2B websites for

A steel roofing manufacturer and a packaging equipment supplier sell differently — and their websites differ. Four typical clients:

Manufacturer with 200–5,000 SKUs

Metal products, building materials, fasteners, polymers — the buyer searches by parameters, not by name. What matters is technical filters and sync with your accounting system, otherwise the catalog goes stale within a month.

Distributor and wholesaler

Several brands, prices depend on volume and client tier. You need a dealer account with personal prices and stock, ordering from Excel and an order history for every counterparty.

Equipment supplier

Machine tools, compressors, packaging lines — a long deal cycle and a high ticket. The site sells expertise: detailed product pages with drawings and video, implementation cases, service, spare parts, a request form with a technical brief.

Food producer for HoReCa and retail

The buyer is a purchasing manager at a chain or a restaurant. They need ingredients, certificates, packaging formats, delivery terms and a regional manager's contact — not “tasty and natural”.

Why a template does not work for a B2B website

  • A catalog with technical parameter filters — thickness, diameter, strength grade, power — is not “size and colour”. Shop plugins are not designed for it: either there are no filters, or with two thousand items the page takes ten seconds to load.
  • In B2B the price depends on volume and client, so “buy” does not work here — you need a quote request with a list of items, quantities and company details. A template offers a cart or a “leave your number” form, and the purchasing manager goes to a competitor where a proper request can be assembled.
  • The catalog has to sync with 1C, BAS or your ERP. Otherwise a month later the site shows old prices and items long discontinued — and the manager spends the day answering “is this still available?”.
  • In a template, specifications are text in the description. But the purchasing manager needs a table they can compare with another supplier, and a PDF with a drawing they can attach to internal approval.
  • An export version is not machine translation. A term mistranslated is a buyer lost: an English catalog full of “profiled flooring” instead of corrugated sheet makes the foreign buyer close the tab. A template translation plugin turns a catalog into a word salad.

What a manufacturer's B2B website structure includes

Seven modules that turn the site from a brochure into a working tool for the sales team:

01

Catalog with parameter filters

Categories by product type, and inside — filters by the technical characteristics of that specific category: one set for pipes, another for fasteners. Instant, no reload, handles thousands of items.

02

Product page for an engineer

Specifications in a table, drawings, certificates and data sheets in PDF, photos with dimensions, analogues and related items, availability by warehouse. “Add to quote request” and “Download product PDF” buttons.

03

Quote request form

The purchasing manager collects items with quantities across the whole catalog — like a cart, but without prices — adds company details, region, deadline and a comment. The manager receives a structured request, not “how much is a pipe”.

04

Dealer account

Login-protected: personal prices by client tier, stock, ordering straight from the catalog or by uploading Excel, order history, invoices and delivery notes. The dealer works independently — the manager steps in when needed.

05

About the plant, with numbers

Photos of shops and lines, monthly capacity, equipment, ISO certificates, delivery geography. Not “modern production” but specifics the purchasing manager can verify and show to management.

06

“For dealers and partners” section

Cooperation terms, minimum batches, logistics, deferred payment, marketing support, a dealership application form. A separate landing page for the “become a dealer + product” query.

07

Export version

English, Polish, German — with correct industry terminology, units of measurement, currency and Incoterms in the conditions. One admin panel, hreflang out of the box, so a foreign buyer sees exactly their version in search.

Integrations for a B2B website

A manufacturer's catalog lives in the accounting system — the site has to be its shop window, not a second database someone has to update by hand:

1C, BAS, ERP

Product range, prices by client type, stock by warehouse are exported on schedule or in real time. Orders from the dealer account flow back into accounting. One source of truth for the site and the managers.

Price list as PDF and Excel in one click

The current price list is generated from the catalog at download time — with prices for the specific dealer, if they are logged in. No more “please send the price list” e-mails.

CRM for quote requests

Every quote request becomes a CRM card with items, quantities, company details and source. The manager sees the queue, the head of sales sees conversion from request to invoice and which categories actually sell.

Volume, weight and delivery calculator

The purchasing manager enters a quantity — sees the batch weight, volume in pallets, approximate delivery to their region. Removes half of the clarifying calls to the manager.

Multi-currency and export

Prices in hryvnia, euro and dollars at the exchange rate or fixed, Incoterms, customs documents on the product page. A foreign buyer gets complete information without back-and-forth e-mails.

Catalog analytics

Which categories and items get viewed, which end up in quote requests, which get downloaded as PDF. The sales team sees demand before it turns into orders — and what is worth adding to the catalog.

Site builder, template or a custom manufacturing site — which to choose

We compare on what affects a purchasing manager's work with your catalog:

Where a manufacturer's B2B clients come from online

A purchasing manager searches differently from a retail buyer — more specifically and less often. Four channels we build the site for:

SEO by product group and technical query

“Corrugated sheet wholesale”, “pellet manufacturer”, “pipe 57x3.5 price”, “sandwich panel fasteners” — category pages and product pages with specifications collect these queries for years. Search competition among manufacturers is lower than it seems.

Google Ads by category

Ads lead to a category with filters and a quote button, not to the home page. Quote requests and calls are passed as conversions — the campaign learns from real leads, not clicks.

B2B marketplaces and tenders

Prozorro, industry catalogs, export marketplaces. The site has to be what the purchasing manager opens after the marketplace — and offer more: certificates, capacity, cases, a regional contact.

Export traffic

An English version with correct terminology and units collects queries from Poland, Germany, the Baltics. A foreign purchasing manager searches “Ukrainian manufacturer + product” — and should find a proper page, not machine translation.

How much a manufacturer's B2B website costs

The price depends on catalog size and number of parameters, whether you need accounting sync, a dealer account and how many languages. Three typical configurations:

Landing page for one product group

from 7 days
from ₴9,900

One product line: specifications in a table, certificates, plant photos, wholesale terms, a quote request form. A fast start for advertising or tenders.

Manufacturer website with a catalog

2–4 weeks
from ₴19,900

A catalog with parameter filters, product pages with tables and PDFs, multi-item quote requests, about the plant, certificates, a dealer section, an SEO structure by product group. Populated by import from your Excel or 1C.

B2B portal with a dealer account

from 4 weeks
from custom quote

Everything above plus two-way 1C / BAS sync, a dealer account with personal prices and Excel ordering, multi-currency, export languages with industry terminology, a CRM for requests.

An exact quote is free and takes 15 minutes after your request. Tell us which accounting system you use and how many SKUs you have — that affects the price the most.

Our approach to B2B websites

Our experience

In our portfolio we show projects our clients allowed us to publish, so we do not pass off other people's plants as ours. What makes a B2B website work — a catalog of thousands of items with filters that does not slow down, import and sync with external sources, product pages with lots of structured data, multilingual content in one admin panel — we have proven on the studio's e-commerce projects with big catalogs and on corporate sites: custom code that carries the load, and an admin panel a manager works in without a developer. See our delivered work, and we will discuss the specifics of your product range at the briefing.

Mistakes we see on other B2B websites

Before starting we go through the competitors in your industry. Here is what repeats almost everywhere:

  1. The catalog is a single 80-page PDF. Unsearchable, unfilterable, not indexed by Google, and the purchasing manager cannot attach a single item to a request.
  2. Specifications in the description instead of a table. Impossible to compare with another supplier — so the purchasing manager picks the one who has a table.
  3. No certificates on the site — “available on request”. For a tender and internal approval they are needed now, not after an e-mail exchange.
  4. “Price on request” without a quote request form. The purchasing manager has to write a free-form e-mail — and half of them never do.
  5. An English version via machine translation with the wrong terminology. The foreign buyer cannot tell what you actually make — and closes the tab.
  6. Prices and availability six months out of date because the catalog is not linked to 1C. The manager spends the day answering “is this still available?” instead of selling.

What to prepare before starting a B2B website

The more of this you have at the briefing, the shorter the timeline. The first two items define the catalog architecture:

  1. The product range in Excel or a 1C export: name, SKU, category, specifications in separate columns, prices, availability. Not in PDF.
  2. For each category — the parameters the buyer chooses by: for pipes diameter and wall thickness, for fasteners size and coating. The filters will grow out of this.
  3. Certificates, quality passports, drawings in PDF — per category or per item.
  4. Photos of shops, lines, warehouse, finished products with dimensions — in daylight, yours, not stock.
  5. Terms for dealers and wholesalers: client tiers, what the price depends on, minimum batches, logistics, deferred payment.
  6. The name of your accounting system and a contact for whoever works in it — so we can assess the integration. Plus a glossary of English terms if you export.

Glossary: terms you will hear from us during the project

Parametric filter
A filter by technical characteristics, specific to each category: diameter and wall for pipes, power and voltage for equipment. The main thing that separates a B2B catalog from an online shop.
Quote request (RFQ)
A form where the buyer collects items with quantities and company details, and the manager receives a structured request for a commercial offer. The B2B replacement for a cart, where the price depends on volume.
Accounting sync
Automatic exchange between the site and 1C / BAS / ERP: product range, prices and stock go to the site, orders go back into accounting. The catalog never goes stale, the manager never enters anything twice.
Dealer account
A login-protected part of the site with personal prices, stock and ordering for counterparties. The dealer works independently, without calling the manager for a price list.
hreflang
Technical markup that tells Google the Ukrainian, English and Polish versions of a page are the same page in different languages. Without it a foreign buyer sees the wrong version in search.
Frequently asked questions about manufacturing B2B websites

Yes — 1C, BAS and most ERPs expose data via exchange or API. We set up export of product range, prices and stock on schedule or in real time, and orders from the site flow back into accounting. Tell us the system version at the briefing — we will assess it right away.

Through the dealer account: without logging in a visitor sees the catalog and specifications, and prices only after authorisation, according to their client tier. Retail or “from” prices can be shown to everyone, wholesale prices only to registered users. You define the logic.

The number of items hardly affects the price — the catalog works just as well with 200 or 20,000, and we populate it by import from your Excel or 1C. What matters is different: how many categories with their own filters, whether you need sync and a dealer account. A basic catalog site — from ₴19,900.

If you have regular wholesale clients who order the same things repeatedly — yes: they will stop calling for price lists and stock, and the manager will free up half the day. If every deal is unique — a quote request form is enough, and you can add the account later.

Yes, and not by machine translation: together with you we compile a glossary of industry terms, show units and currency for the target market, and state delivery terms in Incoterms. Languages live in one admin panel, hreflang is enabled out of the box.

Initial population is by import from your file or 1C, which we set up. After that — either sync updates everything automatically, or a manager edits in the admin panel without a developer: specification table, PDFs, photos. Training is included.

A landing page for one product group — from 7 days. A site with a catalog and quote requests — 2–4 weeks. With 1C sync, a dealer account and export languages — from 4 weeks. The longest part is usually preparing the product range with specifications on your side.
