What the check shows

A proxy can respond while still passing your real address along. When you check a proxy online, that is the part worth looking at: technically working, practically hiding nothing.

Whether it works at all The proxy checker connects and loads a page through it. If the port is closed, the host will not resolve or the credentials fail, we say exactly which.
Which IP the site sees The address the far-end server sees. If it matches your own, the proxy is not working even though it responds.
Anonymity level The most important part and the least often checked. We look at the headers the proxy added: many of them pass the client’s real address.
Response time Time to first response in milliseconds. Above 2000 and working through it becomes painful.
Connection type HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 or SOCKS4. In auto mode we try them in turn until one answers.

How to use it

An online proxy checker with no registration: results appear as they come, not after a long wait.

1 Paste a list or upload a file Up to 50 lines at a time. A .txt file is read in the browser and never reaches the server, so there is nothing to delete afterwards. Blank lines and hash comments are skipped.
2 Pick the type and timeout If you know the type, select it — the check runs twice as fast. A 5-second timeout filters out slow ones; 20 gives distant proxies a chance.
3 Watch results live Each proxy appears in the list right after it is checked, with ping, visible IP and anonymity level. The bar above shows how many remain.
4 Export only the working ones Five formats to choose from: host:port, with credentials, as a URL, CSV with every parameter, or JSON. Dead proxies are left out.

Three anonymity levels

The difference is between “I am invisible” and “everything is visible, just via a middleman”.

Elite The server sees only the proxy address and cannot tell it is a proxy. No tell-tale headers at all.
Anonymous It is visible that a proxy is involved, but your address stays hidden. Enough for most purposes.
Transparent The proxy forwards your real address in the X-Forwarded-For header. No anonymity at all — the site knows who you are.

Free lists from public sources are almost always transparent or stop working within hours. If you need a proxy for actual work rather than an experiment, a paid one costs less than the time you lose.

Why a proxy fails

Wrong type A SOCKS5 proxy entered as HTTP drops the connection with no explanation. The most common cause, which is why auto mode tries several types.
IP binding Sellers often bind a proxy to your IP instead of a login. It then will not answer from our server even though it works for you.
Credentials rejected A 407 means exactly this. Check the format: if the password contains a colon, write the line as user:pass@host:port.
Subscription expired Rented proxies are switched off on the expiry date. The port simply stops responding.
Overloaded It answers but slowly — over two or three seconds. Typical of free ones used by hundreds of people at once.
Blacklisted The proxy works but the target site blocks it. The check reports “connected, but the site returned an error”.

Line formats

We handle every common variant — paste it exactly as the seller gave it.

host:portNo authentication. The simplest case.
host:port:user:passWith credentials. The password may contain colons — we take everything after the third one.
user:pass@host:portThe classic URL form. The password may even contain an @ symbol.
socks5://host:portWith a scheme prefix. We then use that type and do not try the others.

A note on shared hosting: hundreds of sites share your IP, and one spammer among them stops your mail arriving. For any project that sends campaigns this is the main risk — <a href="/en/tools/rbl/">check the address against blacklists</a> before it materialises.

FAQ

Is the proxy checker free?
Yes — this is a free proxy checker online, with no registration. There is one limit: 20 lines at a time. That is deliberate — the tool is meant for checking your own proxies, not for validating purchased lists by the thousand.
What do elite, anonymous and transparent mean?
It is how much the site learns about you. Elite: it sees only the proxy address. Anonymous: it can tell a proxy is involved but not who you are. Transparent: it receives your real address in a header, so there is no anonymity.
Why does my proxy work in the browser but not here?
Most likely it is bound to your IP address rather than a username. Such proxies only answer from your own connection, and our server is a stranger to them. Not a fault — that is how the seller configured it.
Which types are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 and SOCKS4. Auto mode tries HTTP then SOCKS5, which covers almost everything sold. If you know the type, pick it manually — the check runs faster.
Do you store my proxies?
No. The lines are processed in memory during the request and never written anywhere — not the logins, passwords or addresses. Nothing remains after the response.
How long does a check take?
A working proxy answers in a second or two. A dead one takes up to eight, since we must wait out the timeout, and auto mode then tries a second type. A list of 20 can take a few minutes in the worst case.
Where do I get reliable proxies?
We do not sell proxies and recommend no one. We will only say what the checks show: free lists from public sources are almost always transparent or stop working within hours.
